About the role#
This work study position supports the daily operations of the Ellsworth Community College Learning and Resource Center and the Panther Shop. You will provide customer service to patrons and assist with library and retail tasks. This is a paid, part-time role for the Fall 2026 semester located on-site in Iowa Falls, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist patrons in the library and Panther Shop.
- Process transactions using the POS system and check out books through the library management system.
- Shelve books and magazines, file documents, and clip newspaper articles.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the library, including dusting and equipment care.
- Create displays and track statistics.
- Serve as a backup to the switchboard operator.
- Complete timesheets accurately and report facility concerns to your supervisor.
