About the role#
The College Intern for the Health Exploration Program provides curriculum and operational support to the Office of Student Engagement. You will help maintain an environment focused on learning while assisting with daily program activities.
What you'll do#
- Plan and teach curriculum focused on social emotional learning.
- Lead daily teambuilding activities.
- Help students develop their research projects, including grammar and inter-group communication.
- Prepare, organize, and deliver classroom supplies and equipment.
- Enforce lab safety guidelines in the classroom.
- Capture photos and media content for program records.
- Resolve conflicts and facilitate discussions among participants.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program in Biology, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Kinesiology, or Chemistry.
- At least one year of experience through work, volunteering, shadowing, or internships.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Kansas City, Kansas.
- This is a part-time, temporary role with a rolling term.
- The pay range for this position is $21.63 to $29.18 per hour.
