About the role#
The University of Central Florida is seeking a full-time Executive Director and Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Medicine to lead Student Health Services. This role involves the formulation, development, and supervision of all student health operations, including administration, personnel management, and budget planning. The position requires a leader who can manage a multi-million-dollar budget, chair the Student Health Services Executive Council, and ensure the department remains compliant with federal and state regulations.
What you'll do#
- Lead the development and implementation of the Student Health Services Strategic Plan.
- Chair the Student Health Services Executive Council and the Performance Improvement Committee.
- Manage financial planning, resource allocation, and facility expansion or maintenance initiatives.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with laws such as HIPAA and FERPA.
- Represent Student Health Services at university, state, and national levels.
- Provide leadership during emergency response situations and coordinate responses to infectious disease outbreaks.
- Develop and direct studies for program analysis to optimize resource management.
- Engage in frequent internal and external collaborations through partnerships and committee work.
- Provide direct clinical services and consultative support to medical staff as needed.
What you'll need#
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution.
- Current license to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of five years of professional related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in college health leadership or administration.
- Strong understanding of higher education dynamics and the ability to foster cross-functional partnerships.
