About the role#
The Office of Legislative Counsel is hiring a Student Assistant to join the Web Application Services team. You will work under the supervision of senior developers to support web services for the Legislature. This role involves developing responsive PHP modules within a Drupal environment.
What you'll do#
- Build flexible, scalable, and cross-browser compatible web applications.
- Migrate and update legacy PHP code to the latest versions.
- Develop and maintain APIs for data services.
- Perform technical analysis on proposed solutions to identify strengths and weaknesses.
- Manage your own work schedule to ensure project deliverables meet agreed-upon time frames.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Communications.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six-semester units or nine quarter units.
- Demonstrable experience using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You must reside in California and perform all work within the state.
