About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring two Student Assistants to support the Department of Housing and Community Development. You will work under the direction of Help Desk staff to provide technical support for hardware, software, and networking needs. This role serves up to 1400 end-users in an enterprise environment.
What you'll do#
- Move, set up, and image PCs, monitors, printers, iPhones, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with tagging IT equipment and performing manual asset verification.
- Survey IT equipment and maintain organized IT workspaces.
- Keep accurate inventory counts of IT equipment.
- Shadow IT staff during service calls.
- Receive mentoring on IT operations, remote support, and department policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student at an accredited institution.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six semester units or nine quarter units.
- Graduate students must be enrolled in at least four semester units or six quarter units.
- Good customer service experience.
- Excellent computer software experience.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Sacramento, California.
- Work is performed on-site.
- This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited position.
- You may work up to 24 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during breaks.
- Compensation ranges from $18.27 to $24.62 per hour.
- Flexible shifts are available Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM.
