About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring two students for an Accounting Assistant position with the California Conservation Corps. This role provides training on entry-level positions across various FI$Cal modules. You will assist senior staff with accounting tasks to build your technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Enter and maintain financial information in the State accounting system.
- Communicate with staff and clients through email and telephone.
- Handle accounting and administrative tasks to support daily operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic spreadsheet functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
- Experience reading and interpreting complex documents.
- Analytical and quantitative reasoning skills.
- Ability to apply financial and administrative concepts.
- Experience providing customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM. Students typically work up to 24 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during breaks.
- Compensation: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour.
- Status: Part-time, temporary, non-benefited position.
