About the role#
Turner Construction Company is hiring for a Construction Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Nashville, Tennessee. You will work under supervision to build foundational knowledge in construction management, project safety, and financial tracking. This role is designed to help you apply academic knowledge to active construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with document control, material tracking, and meeting coordination.
- Help collect and review information to process submittals and shop drawings.
- Visit project sites to observe and document field activities.
- Assist in preparing estimates for changes in work from subcontractors.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety programs.
- Communicate with vendors, architects, and subcontractors as directed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
- Willingness to learn about construction management.
- Ability to comprehend and follow project site signage.
- Commitment to safety protocols and expectations.
- Ability to wear required Personal Protection Equipment.
