About the role#
As a GSE Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience designing, developing, and testing ground support equipment. You will work on systems including racks, enclosures, test fixtures, and data acquisition hardware for spacecraft testing. This is a full-time, on-site role for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist in designing ground support systems and mechanical GSE for spacecraft integration, test, and launch operations.
- Support the development of schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical interface documentation.
- Help integrate data acquisition hardware and software for testing applications.
- Develop and maintain documentation for engineering processes, test procedures, and equipment specifications.
- Collaborate with mentors and team members to apply your technical skills to complex engineering challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science at a four-year accredited university.
- Completion of your Junior or Senior year with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Coursework or project experience in circuit design, test systems, or electronics.
- Familiarity with CAD tools like SolidWorks or Altium, or programming languages such as Python, C++, or LabVIEW.
- Ability to provide your own transportation.
Location & details#
- This internship is based on-site in Denver, Colorado or Long Beach, California.
- The program runs from September through December 2026.
- This position is paid and requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
