    About the role#

    This internship at the Colonial Life Charity Classic offers hands-on experience in sports and event management. You will work alongside full-time staff to support the planning and execution of this annual Korn Ferry Tour event in South Carolina. This role is intended for students seeking academic credit in fields like business administration or marketing.

    What you'll do#

    • Recruit, register, and communicate with tournament volunteers while coordinating their schedules, credentials, and training materials.
    • Assist with the Tickets for Charity program, including ticket allocations, distribution tracking, and logistics for nonprofit partners.
    • Support the Honorary Observer Program by managing participant communications, scheduling, and on-course event logistics.
    • Manage the creation of the tournament Spectator Guide and assist with media materials, promotional initiatives, and event communications.
    • Coordinate the fulfillment of tournament tickets, parking passes, credentials, and hospitality wristbands for volunteers, vendors, and guests.
    • Represent the tournament at community events, festivals, and partner activations to help build local awareness.
    • Assist with office operations, administrative projects, and the preparation of tournament handbooks and staff resources.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a college or university program seeking academic credit.
    • Minimum age of 18 years old.
    • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    • Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and long hours, especially during tournament week.

    • Location: Elgin, South Carolina.
    • Term: January 11, 2027, through May 31, 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: Paid hourly.
    • Schedule: Starts at 10 to 20 hours per week, with increased hours leading up to and during the tournament in May.
