About the role#
The Colonial Life Charity Classic is a Korn Ferry Tour event held at The Woodcreek Club. This internship provides hands-on experience in professional tournament golf and event management. You will work alongside full-time staff to support tournament operations, marketing, and sponsor fulfillment. This role is designed for students seeking academic credit in fields such as business, marketing, communications, or sports management.
What you'll do#
- Manage Pro-Am operations, including participant registration, pairings, and on-course logistics.
- Coordinate tournament events like receptions, hospitality functions, and ceremonies.
- Fulfill sponsor benefits, conduct walkthroughs, and support VIP guest experiences.
- Handle the distribution of tickets, credentials, and parking passes while maintaining inventory records.
- Execute marketing campaigns across digital, print, and community channels.
- Create and schedule social media content, capture photos and videos, and update website information.
- Design promotional materials such as social graphics, flyers, and signage while maintaining brand consistency.
- Represent the tournament at community events, festivals, and partner activations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university program seeking academic credit.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and long hours, especially as the tournament approaches.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms, or Salesforce is a plus.
