About the role#
TRIUMF is hiring a Logistics Assistant for a full-time co-op position during the Winter 2027 term. This role is based on-site in Vancouver, British Columbia. You will work within our logistics group to support daily warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping processes. This position is a paid opportunity for undergraduate students to apply classroom theory to a professional research environment.
What you'll do#
- Manage daily stores tasks including convenience packaging of small parts, putting away stock, and unloading trucks.
- Provide customer service by answering the telephone and assisting visitors on-site.
- Handle data entry and maintain the inventory catalog by updating item attributes, prices, and part numbers.
- Perform inventory replenishment and analysis to ensure stock accuracy.
- Support shipping and receiving by processing shipments and gathering quotations for requests.
- Operate a forklift as needed.
- Issue dosimeters and manage visitor entry according to safety and security policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Eligibility as a Canadian undergraduate, Permanent Resident, or a foreign full-time undergraduate student with a valid study permit or International Experience Canada (IEC) eligibility.
- Proficiency in computer use and data entry.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid forklift training and a safe driving record.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Modality: Fully on-site.
- Term: January 4, 2027, to April 30, 2027.
- Compensation: Monthly salary ranges from $2,815 to $4,238, including 4% vacation pay.
