About the role#
As a project management intern, you will join the project management office to support continuous improvement initiatives. You will work on various phases of the project lifecycle, from planning to completion. This role offers the chance to apply your academic knowledge in a professional setting while receiving mentorship from the director of the project office.
What you'll do#
- Help create project plans for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with activity planning and maintain project schedules.
- Work with internal teams to gather information and document current processes.
- Identify active projects within laboratory areas.
- Perform research and analysis to support decision-making.
- Suggest improvements to the project management office's methodologies and processes.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned by the project management team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a university program for project management or engineering.
- Familiarity with project management principles, including Agile, Lean, or Kaizen methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Project or Jira.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational skills, rigor, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team, autonomy, and intellectual curiosity.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks at once.
Location & details#
- Location: Montreal, Quebec.
- Modality: This is an on-site position.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April 2027).
- Compensation: 22-26 CAD per hour.
- Note: A vehicle is required for occasional travel to project sites in Joliette and St-Bruno.
