Pharmacy Intern, Per Diem - Sunnyview Hospital

About the role#

This is a per diem Pharmacy Intern position at Sunnyview Hospital and Rehabilitation Center. The role offers rotating shifts to accommodate flexible scheduling needs.

What you'll do#

• Perform technical aspects of medication preparation, distribution, record keeping, and inventory control under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Engage in direct patient interaction, patient counseling, and medication reconciliation.
• Follow standard operating procedures, with tasks subject to sequential or final verification by a registered pharmacist.
• Manage responsibilities requiring mental and visual attention, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure, frequent deadlines, and interruptions.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Pharmacy College, having completed at least the fourth year.
• An active NYS Intern Permit.
• Preferred: Prior work experience in a registered pharmacy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to multitask and remain on your feet for long periods.

• Pay Range: $19.00 - $23.42 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
