About the role#
This is a per diem Pharmacy Intern position at Samaritan Hospital. This role offers rotating shifts to accommodate your schedule while providing hands-on experience in a clinical pharmacy setting.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical tasks related to medication preparation and distribution.
- Manage record keeping and inventory control under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Engage in direct patient interaction and provide patient counseling.
- Conduct medication reconciliation.
- Follow standard operating procedures while managing frequent deadlines and interruptions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Pharmacy College with at least four years completed.
- An active NYS Intern Permit.
- Previous work experience in a registered pharmacy is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and stand for long periods of time.
