    About the role#

    The Component Repair Engineering Intern supports the ongoing effectiveness of repair, overhaul, and testing processes for industrial gas turbine engine variants. You will gain practical experience by applying engineering principles to develop new repair capabilities and optimize existing processes. This 16-month internship focuses on maintenance and repair of aeroderivative gas turbine machinery.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide engineering support to the Component Repair department, including machine, weld, thermal spray, paint, and bench cells.
    • Assist with repair development and production workloads by supporting the engineering team and repair technicians.
    • Use SolidWorks to model 3D designs and create drawings for custom tooling and fixtures.
    • Develop repair Route Cards, Data Cards, and overhaul processes for specific turbine product lines.
    • Lead project review meetings to update team members and leaders on status.
    • Conduct root cause investigations through the Non-Conformance Reporting System and implement solutions via the Quality Improvement System.
    • Apply technical and quality standards to all repair work.
    • Maintain knowledge of QHSE policies and take ownership of health, safety, and environment issues.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an accredited university bachelor’s degree program in Engineering or Science. Degrees in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Materials Engineering are preferred.
    • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
    • A valid driver’s abstract.

    • Location: Rocky View County, Alberta, Canada.
    • Work Modality: On-site and hybrid options available.
    • Term: 16 months, full-time.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
