About the role#
This is a 16-month PEY internship position starting in May 2027 and ending in August 2028. You will join the Project Performance and Controls department in a hybrid capacity based in Toronto. This role offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in project management and financial reporting within the utility and nuclear sectors.
What you'll do#
- Interface with project managers, planners, engineering teams, and client points of contact.
- Prepare client reports, including monthly accruals, cashflow statements, and bi-weekly project financial summaries.
- Support portfolio health monitoring by preparing CPI, SPI, variance summaries, and monthly project metrics.
- Assist with commercial support tasks such as building and maintaining commercial dashboards.
- Utilize project management tools including Primavera P6, SAP, and internal costing systems.
- Provide general project support as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time post-secondary undergraduate program requiring a co-op or PEY placement.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive work style.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with staff and clients at all levels.
- Strong Excel skills and programming knowledge, such as SQL or Excel macros, are preferred.
- Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment or the nuclear industry is an asset.
- A working knowledge of SAP and existing Bruce Power Site Access security clearance are considered assets.
Location & details#
- Location: 393 University Avenue, Toronto, ON (Hybrid).
- Term: 16 months (May 2027 - August 2028).
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Security: The successful candidate must undergo a security clearance process in accordance with CSIS and CNSC requirements. This process may take up to 8 months and must be completed before the start date.
