About the role#
This is an 8-month full-time engineering co-op position based in Surrey, British Columbia. You will work with engineers and managers to gain insight into the operations and design of our natural gas systems. The term begins in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design natural gas facilities and pipelines, including equipment selection and stress analysis.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to complete capital projects.
- Conduct engineering assessments to identify infrastructure deficiencies and opportunities.
- Write reports and proposals for existing and proposed infrastructure.
- Research and develop design standards.
- Recommend process improvements while ensuring compliance with industry codes and company standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering co-op program, preferably in your third or fourth year.
- A valid driver's license.
- Experience or knowledge of CAD software.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience writing reports or memos in a corporate environment.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and P&ID drawings of piping systems.
- Confidence in public speaking.
