About the role#
This is an 8-month full-time co-op position starting in January 2027. You will work with engineers and managers across different departments to gain insight into the operations and engineering groups at FortisBC.
What you'll do#
- Perform site visits alongside the Distribution Design Group.
- Document typical work tasks and update training materials.
- Work with the Design Group, Regulatory, and Operations teams to update process documentation.
- Provide technical support to the Distribution Design and Operations group.
- Update distribution design tools and configurations using MS Excel or scripting methods.
- Liaise with other utilities to help develop strategic changes for the department.
- Handle other duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Engineering program with an Electrical focus.
- Third or fourth-year standing.
- Active enrollment in a co-op program.
- A valid driver’s license and a current driver’s abstract.
