About the role#
This is a paid, year-round internship based in La Crosse, Wisconsin. You will gain experience in financial services by supporting our accounts receivable and auditing teams. We look for students who can commit to 20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer. This is an on-site position with flexible scheduling to accommodate your classes.
What you'll do#
- Learn the core values and financial processes of our organization.
- Manage accounts receivable by making collection calls and reconciling customer payments.
- Process account maintenance requests and handle customer inquiries.
- Send invoice copies and account summaries to customers.
- Complete auditing tasks and assist with legal documentation.
- Build knowledge of risk assessment and receivable quality in the construction industry.
- Create and implement new processes to improve department efficiency.
- Train new interns and hires on department best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time student status in a 4-year business administration program. Students with senior status in 2-year or 4-year institutions are also considered.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and a dependable work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with customers and internal staff.
- Clear communication skills and basic math proficiency.

- Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin.
- Modality: On-site (5 days per week).
- Commitment: This is an anticipated 1-year assignment with the possibility to continue until graduation.
