About the role#
This summer internship offers hands-on experience at active construction sites. You will work alongside a mentor and the project management team to oversee the building process. This is a traveling position that requires you to be on-site at various project locations. You will help coordinate with subcontractors and clients to ensure work stays on schedule and meets company standards.
What you'll do#
- Establish construction project plans and schedules for upcoming work.
- Execute building material take-offs and source necessary materials.
- Prepare bid documents and source subcontractors.
- Initiate subcontractor work and monitor progress to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Manage project execution to meet Tippmann Safety Standards.
- Use internal systems and tools to maintain clear communication with subcontractors, team members, and clients.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a BS or Associate Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Developing knowledge of industrial facility design, engineering, and construction.
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically MS Excel and MS Project.
- A proven ability to learn quickly and solve problems.
- Completion of OSHA 10 Hour or 30 Hour training is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
- This role requires 100% travel to various job sites.
- An expense program covers eligible travel, meals, and lodging.
- Candidates must pass a pre-employment background and license check.
