About the role#
Schnabel Engineering is looking for a Civil Engineering intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. This full-time position focuses on applying professional engineering principles to real-world problems. You will work under the supervision of senior engineering personnel to gain practical experience in the field and the office.
What you'll do#
- Assist with geotechnical investigations and analyses.
- Support the design of retaining walls and excavation support.
- Perform hydrology and hydraulic studies.
- Support advanced earthquake engineering analyses.
- Conduct construction observation and materials testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering.
- A valid driver’s license, as driving is a required part of the role.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to pass a background check, which includes a motor vehicle record, credit check, and criminal history review.
