About the role#
Schnabel Engineering is looking for a full-time intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. This position focuses on building practical skills by applying engineering principles to real projects under the guidance of senior staff. You will work on a variety of tasks that include both office and field responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with geotechnical investigations and analyses.
- Support the design of retaining walls and excavation supports.
- Perform hydrology and hydraulic studies.
- Support advanced earthquake engineering analyses.
- Perform construction observation and materials testing.
- Prepare construction plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering Bachelor’s degree program.
- A valid driver’s license, as driving is required for the job.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass a background check, including criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
