About the role#
Schnabel Engineering is seeking a temporary full-time intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work under the supervision of senior engineering personnel to gain practical experience in dam engineering. This role involves a mix of office and field tasks, and some travel may be required.
What you'll do#
- Assist with geotechnical investigations and analyses.
- Support the design of retaining walls and excavation support systems.
- Conduct hydrology and hydraulic studies.
- Perform reinforced concrete design.
- Prepare construction plans and support earthquake engineering analyses.
- Perform construction observation and materials testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering Bachelor’s program.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a background check, including criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
