About the role#
The Old Dominion Group offers a paid, full-time summer internship for students interested in construction project management. You will work with our management teams to gain experience in estimating, field operations, business development, and finance. This program lasts 8 to 10 weeks starting in June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Complete construction submittals and send them to the Project Manager for approval.
- Conduct specification reviews and perform project takeoffs.
- Review project schedules and communicate key dates to the management team.
- Walk project sites weekly to organize and update the project tracker.
- Partner with the Project Manager to price change orders and maintain the change order log.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university, preferably in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Ability to read and navigate construction blueprints, plans, and project specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other standard computer applications.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
