About the role#
As a Water Engineering Intern, you will join our Water Business Line in Portland, Maine. You will work alongside industry experts on infrastructure projects throughout the Northeast. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship that operates in a hybrid work environment.
What you'll do#
- Support project teams with data collection, analysis, and documentation for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
- Perform engineering calculations to support project goals.
- Assist staff with various study, design, and construction projects or field assignments.
- Participate in company-wide Intern Day activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program for Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of completed college coursework.
- Previous internship experience in engineering, design, or consulting.
- Intellectual curiosity and a drive to solve engineering problems.
- Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness.
- Hands-on experience with design software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or SolidWorks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Pay Range: $21.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on completed years of education.
