About the role#
Join our Transportation Business Line for a Summer 2027 internship. You will work with our team of professionals to deliver infrastructure projects across the Northeast. This is a full-time, paid position that offers a hybrid work environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design of roadways and intersections, including signage and traffic control.
- Prepare technical specifications, construction documents, and cost estimates.
- Support plan development using design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
- Participate in field visits and observe construction activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program for Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least 2 years of college-level coursework.
- Coursework or experience in traffic studies or roadway design.
- A strong interest in transportation engineering and traffic analysis.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems.
- A positive attitude, flexibility, and open-mindedness.
- Preferred: Experience with design software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or Synchro.
- Preferred: Previous internship experience in consulting, construction observation, or engineering design.

- Locations: Westwood, Massachusetts or Woburn, Massachusetts.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: $21.00 to $29.00 per hour, based on completed years of education.
