About the role#
As a Transportation Engineering Co-op, you will join our Transportation Business Line to support infrastructure projects across the Northeast. You will work alongside industry experts to solve engineering challenges and contribute to projects that improve community safety and accessibility.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design of roadways and intersections, including traffic control and signage.
- Help prepare technical specifications, construction documents, and cost estimates.
- Support plan development using design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
- Participate in field visits and construction observations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of college level coursework.
- Coursework or experience in roadway design, traffic studies, or related areas.
- Strong interest in transportation engineering and traffic analysis.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with design software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Synchro, or other 3D modeling tools.
- Preferred: Previous internship experience in engineering design, construction observation, or consulting.

- Locations: Westwood, Massachusetts or Woburn, Massachusetts.
- Terms: Winter 2027 or Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid work environment.
- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly rate between $21.00 and $29.00, depending on completed years of education.
- Status: Full-time.
