About the role#
The Sustainability Systems Intern will provide technical support to the Coil Processing Group (CPG) sustainability efforts, reporting directly to the CPG Director of Sustainability. This role focuses on data management, system transitions, and the development of reporting tools to support energy management and environmental certifications.
What you'll do#
- Implement interval data monitoring with the energy management system provider and design dashboards for trend monitoring.
- Manage the transition of CPG facility bill pay and data tracking services between energy management providers.
- Develop dashboards to monitor and report energy usage and KPIs for ISO 50001 certification.
- Create site-specific scorecards to assist with ISO 14001 implementation.
- Research and draft project roadmaps to support operations teams in continuous improvement.
- Assist in the development of a product carbon footprint (PCF) calculator by reviewing supplier data and managing system entries.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in computer science, information technology, sustainability, environmental science, or engineering.
- Ability to network cross-functionally to gather input from internal stakeholders.
- Experience with energy management systems or sustainability initiatives is preferred.
