About the role#
This is a full-time summer internship based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You will work on-site to support procurement operations and strategic sourcing. This program serves as a pipeline for future leadership roles within the company. Successful interns may be considered for full-time opportunities or leadership development programs after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams across category management, engineering, manufacturing, finance, and quality assurance.
- Support category managers with price negotiations, market research, benchmarking, and data analysis.
- Assist with tail spend optimization, category strategy development, and improvements to OEM supplier management processes.
- Identify opportunities to increase insourcing and evaluate spend leakage or purchasing trends.
- Participate in strategic sourcing activities and PPI initiatives.
- Document and standardize department work practices.
What you'll need#
- You are an undergraduate student graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.
- You have at least one year of previous work experience or prior internships.
- You have demonstrated leadership through athletics, student organizations, volunteer work, or other programs.
- You possess a record of influencing others and driving results in team settings.
- You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving complex problems.
- You show grit and resilience when facing setbacks.
- You have strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- You are legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- You are geographically mobile and flexible regarding future career locations.
