About the role#
This internship is a 10-week summer program based in Bohemia, New York. We hire interns as part of a pipeline for future leadership roles. Successful participants may be considered for full-time opportunities or leadership development programs after graduation. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues while supporting corrective actions.
- Assist with equipment and process qualification, including engineering studies, data collection, and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and productivity.
- Help develop and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions.
- Manage engineering change control activities and equipment maintenance projects.
- Perform root cause investigations and implement technical solutions with cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automation, or Engineering Technology fields.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- At least one year of previous internship or related work experience.
- Proven leadership experience in student organizations, athletics, military service, or community volunteer roles.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems while adapting to changing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Geographic mobility and flexibility for this role and future career opportunities.
