About the role#
We are looking for an IT Intern to join our team in Kearny. You will gain hands-on experience with daily IT operations, troubleshooting, and internal projects. This role is a fit for students or recent graduates who want to start a career in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
What you'll do#
- Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain company laptops, workstations, and printers.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including account setup for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Active Directory.
- Create and update internal IT guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
- Support IT infrastructure projects like system migrations, network upgrades, or security audits.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Windows 10/11 and macOS.
- Familiarity with core networking concepts like IP addressing, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and DNS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical fixes to non-technical users.
- Ability to handle sensitive company data with discretion.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks while standing or sitting for extended periods.

- Location: Kearny, New Jersey.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
- Commitment: Full-time internship with rolling start dates.
- Environment: You will work in a facility that contains industrial hazards, including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics.
