About the role#
This internship offers a chance to work with Walt Disney Imagineering in Anaheim. You will support construction management efforts for projects ranging from small-scale improvements to diverse portfolios. The role involves acting as a point of contact for contractors and collaborating across creative, technical, and engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
What you'll do#
- Manage the scope of a small project or a specific portion of a larger project, such as retail spaces or guest room improvements.
- Coordinate and lead quality assurance and quality control inspections.
- Shadow team members to observe structural and MEP coordination, installation, and project close-out procedures.
- Facilitate meetings to resolve time-sensitive issues involving multiple design teams.
- Work with trade partners to improve your understanding of framing and MEP drawings.
- Assist with document control, RFIs, submittals, punch-list planning, and schedule tracking.
- Provide recommendations for resolving conflicts related to products or personnel.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or higher in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Understanding of the project development process, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the internet.
- A valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with unrestricted work authorization.
- You must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
