About the role#
The Tax Data Management & Innovation Graduate Intern supports the development of the tax function through technology. You will assist in identifying technology needs to support business initiatives and tax regulatory requirements. This role involves maintaining and improving tax systems, including Vertex and ONESOURCE, while partnering with teams in Finance, Technology, and Controllership. You will support tax system implementations, administration, and e-filing processes.
What you'll do#
- Manage overlapping tax requirements by gathering, documenting, and testing project needs.
- Support the tax aspects of major business initiatives through planning and training.
- Maintain and support ONESOURCE Income Tax, ONESOURCE DataFlow, or Vertex applications.
- Build and optimize dashboards, reports, and automation solutions using Microsoft Power Apps.
- Manage project collaboration tools such as Workfront and SharePoint.
- Solve issues and respond to requests for data and reports.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and process improvements.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks related to special projects and tax technology.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate degree program in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Demonstrated computer skills, including Alteryx, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, APIs, Python, Power Apps, Power BI, and AI.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Curiosity regarding the intersection of tax and technology.
- Prior experience with ONESOURCE, Vertex, Alteryx, or Python is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship located in Celebration, Florida.
- The program runs from January 2027 through June 2027.
- Interns are expected to work approximately 40 hours per week.
- Participants must provide their own housing and transportation.
- The pay rate for this role is $30.40 per hour.
