About the role#
The FX Motion Design and VFX team creates marketing materials for FX shows. We are looking for a Motion Design Intern to join this group of storytellers, artists, and animators. You will work directly with our Creative Director to support marketing campaigns through visual storytelling. This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Burbank, California, running from January 2027 to June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Pitch creative concepts in collaboration with designers and directors.
- Design logos and styleframes for various projects.
- Perform 2D and 3D animation work.
- Assist the production team with generating multiple versions of marketing spots.
- Conduct research and develop conceptual ideas.
- Attend bi-weekly seminars focused on entertainment marketing.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university, with senior year preferred.
- Coursework or a major in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Visual Effects, or Post-production.
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Conceptual problem-solving abilities.
- Unrestricted work authorization and at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred experience includes 3D software like Cinema 4D or Houdini, compositing tools like Nuke or Resolve, and AI tools such as Runway, Claude, or Firefly.
Location & details#
- Location: Burbank, California.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 10am to 7pm PT.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
