About the role#
The Walsh Group offers an internship program for students in Southern California. This program provides hands-on experience in project engineering and field management to prepare you for future leadership roles. You will work on jobsites or in regional offices. We match interns with projects based on their academic and career goals. This is a paid position with a salary range of $22 to $26 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers and field supervision staff with project coordination.
- Estimate costs for change orders.
- Solicit bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity.
- Manage data, submittals, and document control.
- Oversee safety management.
- Participate in team meetings and write RFIs.
- Schedule contracts and materials.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to commit to a 12-week work schedule.
- Willingness to relocate if required by a specific role.
Location & details#
- Locations include Concord, Van Nuys, Calabasas, Los Angeles, Seal Beach, and Carpinteria, California.
- This is an on-site, full-time role.
