About the role#
The Enterprise Quality Governance & Transformation team focuses on ensuring the quality of Ovation and Enterprise Technology Solutions applications. As an intern, you will contribute to the creation of automation scripts and conduct compliance checks for testing processes and artifacts. This year-round internship runs from January 2027 through December 2027 with a maximum of 1,000 hours. You will work up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
What you'll do#
- Analyze business requirements and create detailed test cases to validate business functions.
- Identify test cases for automation and develop a manual regression test suite.
- Execute test cases using a test management tool and document software defects.
- Automate manual regression test cases using the team's established framework.
- Write clear and precise reports for identified defects.
- Participate in daily scrum standups to report testing issues.
- Provide input during team retrospective meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising senior or second-year graduate student.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027, May 2028, or August 2028.
- Major in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- Proficiency in Java and Python.
- Familiarity with AI tools including Claude Chat and Claude Code.
- Strong aptitude for quality assurance, communication skills, and a collaborative team approach.
Location & details#
- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Modality: Hybrid. Employees are expected to work from the office at least 3 days per week, including Tuesday and Wednesday as anchor days.
- Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
- Employment Status: Part time, paid position.
