About the role#
The Maschhoffs is offering six internship positions for the summer of 2027. This program provides hands-on experience across multiple departments including production operations, animal health, research, nutrition, and procurement. Interns work directly with team members to gain practical knowledge in the swine industry.
What you'll do#
- Engage in production operations including breed-to-wean and wean-to-market tasks.
- Participate in health and animal care activities.
- Contribute to research and development initiatives.
- Support nutrition and feed operations.
- Assist with procurement and strategic sourcing.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time college student in your junior or senior year.
- A focus on agriculture is required for this role.
- You should have effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and critical thinking skills are essential for success.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Carlyle, Illinois, or Pittsfield, Illinois.
- Housing is provided for the duration of the summer term. The program includes one-on-one mentoring, leadership development, and networking opportunities.
