About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Alabama. You will join an 11-week program designed to provide hands-on experience within poultry processing operations. The role focuses on a specific operations efficiency study within the Customer Service, Shipping, and Logistics department.
What you'll do#
- Conduct an operations efficiency study in the Shipping and Logistics department.
- Collect and interpret data across various poultry processing operations.
- Form hypotheses and recommend long-term solutions based on your findings.
- Present your results clearly to peers, managers, and senior leaders.
- Manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Build professional relationships with mentors and colleagues.
- Follow all company safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree program.
- Academic focus in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Communications, Agriculture, or a business-related field.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data.
- Ability to work non-standard hours as needed for data collection.
- Self-motivated and organized approach to work.
