About the role#
The Hub Project is seeking a Polling and Outreach Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This full-time, paid position reports to the Director of Polling and Analytics and involves working with a team of researchers and communications experts to support campaign strategies through data-driven insights.
What you'll do#
- Create and edit draft presentations, memos, newsletters, and press releases based on polling data.
- Conduct background research to inform questionnaire design.
- Read and interpret topline and crosstab data while developing basic data analysis skills.
- Draft social media content for various platforms using findings from recent surveys.
- Monitor public polling for key trends and share relevant data with internal campaign teams.
- Attend meetings with partner organizations to help shape future research.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated interest in progressive causes.
- Proficiency in Google Slides, Google Sheets, or PowerPoint.
- Ability to adjust messages and tone to reach specific audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bonus points for coursework in statistics or experience with software like STATA, R, or SPSS.
Location & details#
- This internship is based in Washington, D.C.
- The work schedule is hybrid, requiring three days in the office and two days remote each week.
- The term runs from September 9, 2026, to December 4, 2026.
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position compensated at $20 per hour, not to exceed 40 hours per week.
