    About the role#

    The Hub Project is seeking a Communications Intern for the Economic Education Project. This role supports the campaigns department in executing advocacy work that educates the public on economic issues and encourages support for policies that benefit working families. You will work under the Senior Communications Manager to help advance goals through grassroots organizing and media tactics.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the campaign planning process, including drafting and editing program memos.
    • Draft press materials, policy documents, and digital content.
    • Provide logistical support for earned media events like town halls, press conferences, and lobby days.
    • Assist with media monitoring and research tasks.
    • Attend partner meetings and share follow-up information with the team.

    What you'll need#

    • An interest in progressive causes and a passion for economic and social justice issues.
    • Strong multitasking abilities and a detail-oriented approach to work.
    • Experience as a skilled researcher capable of summarizing information clearly.
    • Ability to modify writing style, tone, and messaging as needed.
    • Proficiency in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
    • Academic background in fields such as Communications, Political Science, Journalism, Economics, Public Health, Business Administration, Sociology, or Human Resources.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Washington, D.C.
    • Term: Fall 2026 (September 9, 2026, to December 4, 2026).
    • Modality: Hybrid (3 days in the office and 2 days remote each week).
    • Status: Full-time, paid position at $20 per hour.
    • Benefits: Health leave accrual at 3.33 hours per pay period.
