About the role#
Groundwork Collaborative is seeking a Communications Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This paid, part-time position offers hands-on experience within a team focused on progressive economic policy, research, and advocacy. The internship runs from September through December.
What you'll do#
- Conduct background research on relevant issue areas.
- Assist in the preparation and dissemination of press releases and other external materials.
- Provide administrative support to the communications team.
- Attend events and maintain catalogs of team materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a university studying communications, journalism, political science, economics, or a related field.
- Strong writing skills with experience creating content for various audiences.
- Exceptional attention to detail in editing and proofreading.
- A commitment to an inclusive and resilient economy.
- Experience drafting social media content is considered a plus.
- Authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available).
Location & details#
- This role is based in Washington, DC, and requires a hybrid work schedule with in-office attendance on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- Candidates must reside in DC, Virginia, or Maryland to be eligible for this position.
- The pay rate for this role is $22 per hour.
