About the role#
As a Data Engineer Intern, you will help build and support the pipelines, platforms, and processes that enable analytics, reporting, and AI-driven insights. This role focuses on the systems behind the data, transforming raw information into reliable assets that help teams make decisions. You will work within our Technology, Data, AI, and Operations organization to see how emerging technologies like machine learning and automation impact the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Build and support data pipelines that ingest, transform, and prepare data for business use.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance through profiling, validation, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Apply data engineering tools to develop reliable data assets.
- Gain hands-on experience supporting data solutions for analytics and reporting.
What you'll need#
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Curiosity and a willingness to explore new technologies.
- Experience with programming and querying languages, primarily Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts such as ETL/ELT and data quality.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools.
- Pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
