About the role#
The Hanover Insurance Group is hiring an intern for our Excess & Surplus Underwriting team in Richmond, Virginia. This is a full-time, 10-week summer program designed to provide hands-on experience in the insurance industry. You will work alongside underwriters to learn the business and contribute to our daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Support underwriting functions by working directly with assigned underwriters and the broader team.
- Help with daily transactions, including quoting, endorsements, and documentation.
- Complete a project assigned by the Professional Liability Department.
- Develop and deliver a final presentation for management and leadership members regarding your summer work.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program, preferably in Business Administration or Data Science.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 10-week schedule.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
