About the role#
The Hanover offers a 10-week summer internship program designed to provide college students with hands-on experience in the insurance industry. You will work on business assignments, participate in professional development workshops, and engage with a team of mentors and peers. This program aims to build your skills while you contribute to real claims processes.
What you'll do#
- Handle claims of minimal to moderate complexity within defined authority limits.
- Analyze, evaluate, and negotiate claims while ensuring compliance with policy terms.
- Identify potentially suspicious or fraudulent claims and escalate them to the appropriate teams.
- Build foundational knowledge in claims handling and standard operational tasks.
- Participate in a structured training program to support your professional growth.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or advanced degree program, specifically in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 10-week internship.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
