About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience in aviation construction. You will work directly with our engineering team at Muhammed Ali International Airport and Bowman Field. This is an on-site role based in Louisville, Kentucky, for the Summer 2027 term, with the potential to extend into the fall.
What you'll do#
- Perform construction observation for aviation projects.
- Assist with construction measurements, documentation, and quantity reporting.
- Review project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors and clients.
- Escort and observe contractors within secure airfield areas.
- Provide general civil engineering support under the guidance of a licensed engineer.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited institution.
- Ability to pass a background check for airport security clearance.
- A valid driver license and a clean driving record.
