About the role#
The Sports Intern supports the day-to-day operations of the Team Sports Division at The Familie. This role provides exposure to client management, marketing, and business development within the sports and entertainment industry. Interns work directly with agents and staff on active projects, including NIL outreach and athlete marketing initiatives. This is an unpaid internship eligible for academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Provide recruiting support for Team Sports and NIL through prospect research and database management.
- Assist with internal sports initiatives through outreach, research, and project coordination.
- Support analytics projects by tracking performance, summarizing data, and preparing insights for athlete marketing and recruiting.
- Assist with social media planning and content development for client brands.
- Conduct research on prospective clients, market trends, and partnership opportunities.
- Contribute to off-season planning, activations, and athlete engagement initiatives.
- Assist in creative services, including updating decks, one-sheets, and internal materials.
- Participate in team and client meetings, taking notes and assisting with follow-up tasks.
- Perform administrative and operational tasks such as scheduling, file organization, and general correspondence.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a university, with a preference for juniors or seniors.
- Well-developed communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Passion for sports, marketing, and the business side of the industry.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content best practices.
- Interest or experience in NIL, collegiate athletics, or sponsorship and endorsement deals.
- Proactive, resourceful, and eager to contribute.
- Relevant coursework in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or Psychology.

- Location: Nashville, Tennessee.
- Modality: On-site, 2-3 days per week.
- Duration: September 14 to November 25.
- Commitment: 12-18 hours weekly.
