About the role#
As a Dredging Field Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with dredging means, methods, and project management. You will work on-site to support field operations, learn hydrographic surveying, and assist with technical documentation. This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Track and report daily quantities for labor and materials.
- Provide technical engineering information and interpret plans and specifications.
- Enforce quality control and coordinate inspections with consultants.
- Review shop drawings and submittals for contract compliance.
- Maintain project job costing and update project schedules.
- Assist with CAD drawings and process survey data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an upper-division student in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret complex instructions.
