About the role#
The Equipment Engineer Intern will gain hands-on experience in equipment and fabrication engineering support. You will assist the engineering team with technical documentation, project tracking, and field work while learning how to maintain equipment repair and job costing standards.
What you'll do#
- Track and report daily quantities for labor and materials.
- Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure they meet contract requirements.
- Prepare daily reports and photo logs for ongoing projects.
- Perform field measurements to support the creation of shop drawings.
- Maintain records for equipment repair and job costing.
- Assist the engineering team with as-built drawings and document control.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year college or university pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift or move 25-50 pounds and perform site inspections in various weather conditions.
