About the role#
The Technology Development Program (TECDP) Data & Analytics Engineering Internship is a 12-week summer program. You will work on technology projects within the healthcare space, receive training, and participate in mentorship opportunities. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines, platforms, and analytical tools.
- Transform raw data into actionable insights to support data-informed decision-making.
- Engage with peers, mentors, and cross-functional partners through community-building activities.
- Participate in technical training and leadership development curriculum.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with SQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Basic knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or cloud services including AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of data governance and data quality concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive attitude toward learning.
- A GPA of 3.3 or higher is preferred.
Location & details#
- Locations: Bloomfield, CT; Bloomington, MN; Morris Plains, NJ; St. Louis, MO.
- Term: Summer 2027 (beginning May 24, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid (minimum of three days per week onsite).
- Sponsorship: This program does not provide visa sponsorship.
