About the role#
This is a 10.5-week full-time internship running from May 24, 2027, to August 4, 2027. You will join the Analytics & Behavior Change team to apply statistical methods and machine learning to business challenges. You will work alongside data scientists and engineers to analyze large datasets and translate findings into recommendations. This role is open to students currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Operations Management with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
What you'll do#
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover patterns.
- Build, test, and evaluate predictive and machine learning models.
- Design and analyze experiments, such as A/B testing, to inform business decisions.
- Create visualizations and communicate findings to technical and business audiences.
- Contribute to solutions that improve health care quality, affordability, and outcomes.
- Participate in community service, professional development workshops, and mentorship opportunities.
- Interact with senior leaders and collaborate with fellow interns.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
- Experience using Python or R for data analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn.
- Experience analyzing complex datasets.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Work Modality: Hybrid with three in-office days per week, typically Tuesday through Thursday.
- Compensation: $42 per hour for a 40-hour workweek.
- Note: Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation assistance is provided for those moving more than 50 miles.
