    About the role#

    The Marketing Events Intern supports BYU-Pathway Worldwide’s event marketing and branded merchandise efforts. A primary focus of this role is supporting the organization’s sponsorship at RootsTech in early 2027. You will assist with event planning, logistics, vendor coordination, volunteer support, and onsite execution. This role also provides event support and consultation for local events around the world, CES events, and local Utah events. You will work in a hybrid capacity, requiring you to be in the Salt Lake City office 2 to 3 days each week.

    What you'll do#

    • Support planning and execution for the RootsTech sponsorship, including physical setup, schedules, and materials.
    • Coordinate logistics for local, global, and CES events, including post-event follow-up and volunteer management.
    • Research event opportunities and evaluate their alignment with marketing goals.
    • Manage branded merchandise inventory, including fulfillment, shipment coordination, and tracking.
    • Partner with the Marketing Manager to coordinate with local vendors and maintain consistent documentation across areas.
    • Identify and coordinate student panelists for remote or in-person events.
    • Communicate with internal teams, area managers, and event partners to support scheduling and preparation.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled at a CES school pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Planning, Business, or a related field, or in the semester immediately following enrollment. Equivalent relevant experience is considered.
    • Experience supporting events, coordinating projects, managing inventory, or working with vendors.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
    • Willingness to work onsite at events and adjust schedules as needed.
    • A commitment to the mission and values of BYU-Pathway Worldwide.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Salt Lake City, Utah. Applicants must reside in Utah to be eligible.
    • Work Modality: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the office).
    • Employment Type: Full-time.
    • Requirement: Only members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend qualify for employment.
